Property prices for rent in Kuala Lumpur region
The average rent price in the Kuala Lumpur region has had a slight rise in recent months. There has been a rise in the rent prices in this region.
The price per sq.feet in Kuala Lumpur has risen in the last 6 months. During October, the average price per sq.feet was RM 2.52. The following month the price fell to RM 2.25 per sq.feet. In the following two months (December, January) the rent price per sq.feet has increased notably to a 140 %. In the last two months, the price per sq.feet has fallen 87 %. This has been obtained by comparing the price RM 2.87 for the first four months of the sample with regard to the previous 4 months and the price RM 2.5 per sq.feet for the last two months (February, March).
When referring to the price in Kuala Lumpur(region), this has risen considerably in the last 6 months. October has an average price of RM 3,147. During Novemberthe price had a strong fall till RM 2,452. The price in the following months (December, January) had a strong rise of 237 % going from RM 2,799.5 to RM 6,634. During the last two months the price has had a considerable fall of 56 % with respect to the previous four months going from RM 4,716.75 a RM 2,626.

They are 16 % cheaper than the average price in Kuala Lumpur followed by those with 2 with an average price of RM 2,482. The most expensive properties have 1 bedroom. They are 71 % more expensive than the average followed by those properties with 4 bedrooms priced at RM 4,146.
Based on the average price per sq.feet those properties with 3 bedrooms are the most affordable ones with a price of RM 1.94 / sq.feet being RM 2.53 / sq.feet the average for Kuala Lumpur. The properties with the highest average price are those with 1 bedroom. These are 63 % more expensive than the average followed by those with 2 bedrooms with a price of RM 2.91 / sq.feet.
The graph displaying the average rent price according to the property type shows "Terraced House" as the most affordable one. With an average cost of RM 2,469 it is 43 % cheaper than the average in Kuala Lumpur. This is followed by "Apartment" with a cost of RM 1,441. The most expensive property type is "House" and is 578 % more costly than the average, followed by "Condominium" with a cost of RM 2,588.
Based upon the average cost per sq.feet the most affordable property type is "Serviced Residence with a an average price of RM 1.42 / sq.feet, followed by "Terraced House" with a price of RM 1.69 / sq.feet. "House" with an average price of RM 4.73 / sq.feet is the most expensive type of property followed by "Commercial" at a price of RM 2.64 / sq.feet.
