The average rent price in the Sabah region has had an strong rise in recent months. There has been a strong rise in the rent prices in this region.
The price per sq.feet in Sabah has risen considerably in the last 6 months. During October, the average price per sq.feet was RM 1.21. The following month (November) the price rose to RM 1.3 per sq.feet. In the following two months (December, January) the rent price per sq.feet has increased notably to a 119 %. In the last two months, the price per sq.feet has risen 113 %. This has been obtained by comparing the price RM 1.37 for the first four months of the sample with regard to the previous 4 months and the price RM 1.55 per sq.feet for the last two months (February, March).
When referring to the price in Sabah(region), this has risen considerably in the last 6 months. In the first month sample October the average price is RM 1,394. In November the price remains at RM 1,424. The price in the following months (December, January) had a strong rise of 177 % going from RM 1,409 to RM 2,488. During the last two months the price has had a considerable fall of 80 % with respect to the previous four months going from RM 1,948.5 a RM 1,562.
The graph displaying the the average rent price per number of bedrooms shows that those with 3 bedrooms are the most affordable ones. They are 10 % cheaper than the average price in Sabah followed by those with 1 with an average price of RM 1,793. The most expensive properties have 4 bedrooms. They are 28 % more expensive than the average followed by those properties with 2 bedrooms priced at RM 1,950.
Based on the average price per sq.feet those properties with 4 bedrooms are the most affordable ones with a price of RM 1.12 / sq.feet being RM 1.46 / sq.feet the average for Sabah. The properties with the highest average price are those with 1 bedroom. These are 153 % more expensive than the average followed by those with 2 bedrooms with a price of RM 2.7 / sq.feet.

With an average cost of RM 1,540 it is 3 % cheaper than the average in Sabah. This is followed by "House" with a cost of RM 1,679. The most expensive property type is "Commercial" and is 1477 % more costly than the average, followed by "Apartment" with a cost of RM 4,481.
Based upon the average cost per sq.feet the most affordable property type is "Condominium with a an average price of RM 1.09 / sq.feet, followed by "Commercial" with a price of RM 1.54 / sq.feet. "Warehouse" with an average price of RM 2.93 / sq.feet is the most expensive type of property followed by "Apartment" at a price of RM 1.98 / sq.feet.
